Cat® Lift Trucks will award one $5,000 academic scholarship to an outstanding high school student from the Houston area. The deadline to apply is January 23, 2026.

Applications Are Now Being Accepted

Applications are now being accepted for the Cat® Lift Trucks Scholarship Program. This year the program will award a Houston area high school senior with a $5,000 scholarship toward his or her higher education in the state of Texas.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed and evaluated based on academic performance, financial needs, leadership roles, community involvement and three short prompt essays. Students must plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical school within the state of Texas in the fall of 2026 and major in engineering or a business-related field or a technical field related to our business.

Review Process

Applications should be completed in full and submitted by 11:59 pm CT on Friday, January 23, 2026. Applications that are incomplete will not be accepted. There is no “save” function for the application, so please be prepared to submit at the time of completion.

Scholarship Award Recipient Notification

The top 3 finalists will be notified by February 2, 2026 and will be asked to participate in a phone interview with the scholarship committee.

A winner will be selected by February 20, 2026 and will be notified individually by a Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Committee representative. The Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Committee will also notify the counselor’s office of the recipient’s school.
