HOUSTON (Nov. 4, 2015) – Cat Lift Trucks, a leading provider of quality and reliable lift trucks, today announced its call for applications for the twelfth annual Cat Lift Trucks scholarship program. This year, the program will award a Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) high school senior with a $5,000 scholarship toward his or her higher education in the state of Texas.
“The Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Program is part of our initiative to support the community where our employees live and work,” said Kent Eudy, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Cat Lift Trucks. “With more than $100,000 in scholarship funds awarded to date, we’re excited to continue this annual program that helps make higher education more affordable to local Houston students.”
Applicants will be evaluated based on academics, financial need, leadership, community involvement and two narrative essays. Students must plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical school within the state of Texas in the fall of 2016 and major in engineering or a business-related field or a technical field related to our business.
The scholarship recipient will be formally awarded the funds during a reception in the spring of 2016 at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™, where Cat Lift Trucks has served as the Official Lift Truck Provider for 12 consecutive years.

WHAT: Cat Lift Trucks will award a high school senior in the Spring Branch Independent School District with a $5,000 scholarship for higher education pursuits. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical school within the state of Texas in the fall of 2016 and major in engineering or a business-related field or a technical field related to our business.
Students from public schools within Spring Branch Independent School District are eligible to apply. Recipients will be chosen based on academic record, financial need, leadership, honors, narrative responses and participation in school and community activities.
WHEN: Deadline – applications must be postmarked by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016. This year’s scholarship recipient will be honored at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in spring 2016.
