HOUSTON (March 4, 2015) – Each year, more than 2 million people and 30,000 animals fill Houston’s NRG Park during February and March to enjoy the world’s largest livestock show and rodeo. This year, Cat® Lift Trucks will continue in its partnership with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) by providing more than 100 lift trucks for the three-week long event.
2015 marks Cat Lift Truck’s 11th year as the Official Lift Truck Provider for the HLSR. In support of this partnership, Cat Lift Trucks and local dealer Adobe Equipment Houston, LLC (Adobe) provide a broad variety of internal combustion pneumatic tire lift trucks ranging in capacity from 5,000 to 36,000 lbs. to meet the Show’s material handling and logistics needs.

Each year, Cat lift trucks are used throughout the 300-acre property to move animal feed, lumber, food supplies, water, visitor guides and merchandise for weeks prior to, during and after the event. The lift trucks will be hard at work ensuring a seamless setup and teardown of staging equipment, riders, platforms, screens and audio visual equipment for the star-studded lineup of country music and pop artists scheduled to perform at the Show this year.
In honor of the Show’s educational commitment, Cat Lift Trucks is continuing its annual scholarship program, awarding a $5,000 scholarship to an exemplary Spring Branch Independent School District high school student pursuing a higher education. The 2015 scholarship program recipient will be announced on the Cat Lift Trucks Facebook page on March 5, 2015.
