CAT® LIFT TRUCKS, THE OFFICIAL LIFT TRUCK PROVIDER FOR HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO
HOUSTON (March 03, 2020) – More than two million people and 34,000 animals are expected at this year’s Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM, and behind the scenes Cat® lift trucks will provide the equipment and support, including more than 100 forklifts, to keep the show running for three-weeks straight.
This year marks the 16th consecutive year for Cat lift trucks to serve as the Official Lift Truck Provider for the Rodeo. Together, Cat lit trucks and Darr Equipment provide a wide range of internal combustion pneumatic tire lift trucks. The lift trucks are used inside and around the 1.9 million square feet of NRG Park to prepare for this Texas tradition.

In addition to supporting the setup and teardown of the 21-day event, Cat lift trucks are also used to haul portable buildings, animal stalls and food booths around the 350-acres of NRG Park. Throughout the event, the lift trucks not only transport hundreds of pounds of animal feed and hay for the livestock, but also work hard to ensure that the food, beverages and ice are ready to be served to Rodeo fans throughout the three-week period.
Darr Equipment’s technicians will also be on-hand throughout the show to provide lift truck operator training and on-site support throughout this year’s Rodeo season.
